Bartender Checklist Appearance * Teeth brushed, hair styled, clean shave Clean tennis shoes (non-slip) Only Money Bar or blank hats may be worn Male Bartender - black t-shirt or any Money Bar logo t-shirt, and dark/black jeans and other Manager approved apparel Female Bartender - fitted logo or plain black shirt/tank & dark/black pants/jeans or shorts and other Manager approved apparel Complete Accessories * Bar Key & Towel Complete Opening * Clock in at or after your scheduled start time Assure that start cash is in drawer; ask MOD immediately for start cash if not available in drawer ALL light switches are turned are on - on the right of the money machine, back stairwell, left of women's restrooms and in storage room ALL lights/lightbulbs are working properly. If any need to be replaced, bulbs are located on stairwell shelves. If correct bulbs aren't available, notify Manager Thermostats (located near cieling next to display case and above storage entrance) are powered on and turned to auto. When cold, set to 74 and heat; when warm, set no lower than 68 and cool Sound is on and Money Bar's Music & Ambiance document is being followed POS (Point of Sale) systems are connected and turned on POS printers are working and have printer paper in them Ensure barback (or DJ) has turned on all 6 TV's, the DJ booth fan and all LED strips - front stairs, stepup to DJ booth, money machine and under bar If any TV's aren't working correctly try to resolve issue by unplugging the TV and plugging back in. If issue persists, notify manager Assume ALL barback checklist tasks if barbacks are not scheduled for the night All open bottles have liqour spouts on them Bottle dust covers from bottles being used for the night have been removed and placed in storage cup Bottle dust covers are on all bottles not being used for the night All "During" duties have been read through prior to beginning of shift Complete During * NO DRINKING! DRINKING CALLS FOR IMMEDIATE TERMINATION Keep yourself and bar backs busy; find organizational and cleaning tasks for barbacks during down times. If no barback is scheduled, task yourself out Keep your bar tops, floors, and tabletops clean at all times Pick up / sweep trash and beer caps off the floor behind the bar during downtime Refer to your Bartender Training Manual and Handbook for all operational rules and procedures Complete Closing * Clock out when finished with close out Ensure barback and DJ's power off all 6 TV's, the DJ booth fan and all LED strips - front stairs, stepup to DJ booth, money machine All POS are powered off Door is locked when all guests have exited Only scheduled employees are inside building after 2:15 AM Ice is removed from wells; either thrown away in trash or in bar sink (if thrown in sink, use hot water to melt) Speed wells and inside ice bin are thoroughly cleaned Detail POS inside and out, including the cash drawer (no supplies or cards/ID's should be left in drawers) All trash behind bar is picked up and thrown away Behind bar floor is swept and mopped Spray and wipe down bartop Soda guns and hoses are wiped down with cleaner; cap should removed and placed in soda water Thermostats are turned off or set to auto and 74 EVERY CORNER, NOOK, AND CRANNY HAS BEEN CHECK FOR TRASH AND MISPLACED ITEMS.
